As a firm, JAA specializes in designing custom homes, renovations or additions, LEED design/green architecture, and interiors. We have served clients in Beaufort, Bluffton, Hilton Head, Savannah, Richmond Hill, as far north as Cape Cod, Massachusettes, and as far south as Vero Beach, Florida. Committed to the quality of our built community, JAA has been affiliated with the American Institute of Architects since the inception of the firm. We also actively participate and provide consultation services to many of the Architectural Review Boards and Planned Community Developments in Beaufort and Jasper County.

Robert (Bob) Johnson established the firm of Johnson & Associates, Architects (JAA) in 1987. JAA is noted and awarded for its design accomplishments. Bob is an authority in stylistic details of historic homes of the Southern Coastal region. As Principal of the firm he plays a part in every aspect of a project, focusing upon Contract Administration and Site Coordination.
